Customer Care Information
Every endevour has been made in the production of your heather plugs, to enable you to receive plants which are true to type, in good health and free from pests and disease. We advise that you pay due care and attention to the following.
On receipt, please water adequately.
Protect from frost & extreme sun light.
We recommend that you plant out or pot up within 2/3 days of receipt.
Water regularly after planting out.
That said heathers prefer to be dry rather than wet.
They prefer a sunny position & acid soil.
Incorporating peat into your soil will help keep them happy.
Plant so that the topmost roots are just below the soil level, and the lower foliage rests on the surface.
Aftercare
Very little pruning is needed, just a light clipping with sharp shears to maintain shape and encourage new growth.
Summer flowering varieties can be clipped as soon as the blooms have faded. Autumn and winter ones should be pruned in the spring.
